Lighthouse Leaders
We follow the Leader in Me process at Giles Junior School to teach our children 21st century leadership and life skills. Over the past 5 years, we have created a culture of empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader
We have a dedicated group of children who develop the leadership of children at Giles Junior School. They are called, ‘The Lighthouse Team’.
The Lighthouse Team is made up of a group of children – from all year groups – throughout the school. Our role of being part of the Lighthouse Team is to share and discuss ideas and think of ways to make the school a place every child enjoys coming to. We help organise events and teach children about the 7 Habits. As a team that synergises well, we always do the right thing, even when no-one watching. We role-model all the habits, all of the time, to help others see how to use them.
